Philadelphia’s first ever Bold Women & Beer Festival!
Philadelphia’s first ever Bold Women & Beer Festival!
International Women’s Day might have already passed but the celebration continues. Prominent women of Philadelphia’s beer industry and members of the local Chapter of the Pink Boots Society, are coming together for a collaborative brew day at Love City Brewing. The beer will then be sold at Philadelphia’s first ever woman-focused beer festival on May 4th.
The main brew day will go down at Love City Brewing with the brewing of Smash It Up Saison, a mixed fermentation American Farmhouse Ale, with the Pink Boots Hop Blend, Saison Yeast & Brettanomyces (6.5% ABV). More than 10 additional satellite brews will go down at Greater Philadelphia Area Chapter Breweries, spanning from Evergrain in Harrisburg to as far South as Cape May Brewing in New Jersey. The styles brewed will showcase a range of brewing styles and skills, and will feature everything from IPAs to Cream Ales and Sours to Saisons.
These collaborative brews will be available at the respective breweries and taprooms as well as at Philadelphia’s first ever Bold Women & Beer Festival – May 4th at Love City Brewing. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Pink Boots Society – Philadelphia Area Chapter Scholarship Fund. The festival will be 1pm-4pm and tickets are $45. The event will boast food trucks, live music, and over 40 breweries from Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
