Get Ready for the Eagles Season at VHS Club’s Second Annual Screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’ in 4K With a DVD & VHS Market and More
VHS Club is bringing Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller “The Birds” back to the big screen for a second year running. The group will host a 4K screening of the film on Thursday, September 10, at the Film Society Center, timed to help kick off the start of the Philadelphia Eagles season.
Before the film begins, guests can settle in for a themed mixer featuring a mix of local vendors and activities. Quizzo on Tap will host trivia, South Street Art Market will be on hand with a curated selection of Eagles- and Hitchcock-themed merchandise, and Secret Handshake Vintage will be selling a lineup of DVDs and VHS tapes for guests looking to dig through some analog nostalgia. Loop 306 will offer custom chainstitching on-site, while poster artist Teddy Hanson will be selling his own screen-printed prints, giving fans a chance to take home a piece of art inspired by the evening.
Once the mixer wraps up, guests will move into the theater for the main event: a full 4K presentation of Hitchcock’s 1963 horror classic, in which a small California town descends into chaos as birds begin violently attacking its residents.
