North Bowl is the City’s Best Casual Bowling Spot

Not every Spot of the Week has to be an eatery.  Case in point, this week we are featuring North Bowl located in the popular neighborhood of Northern Liberties.  This spot is not new by any means but is sometimes overlooked by those looking for a casual place to hang out.  Philly is blessed with a plethora of eateries and watering holes but lacks places to hang out such as bowling alleys.  There are other similar places in Philly such as the chain Lucky Strikes, but their pretentious dress codes and lack of parking in Center City makes it to be more of a hassle especially for large groups of friends that are looking to hang out on a chill night.

Obviously not every night needs to be a club night and many people just want to meet up or in other cases have a casual date.  With plenty of lanes to choose from and pool tables available North Bowl is the best bet to please everyone in your party.  For those who have not yet visited North Bowl, expect a modern atmosphere almost like an upscale lounge where there are bars on each level providing a good selection of domestic, imported, & craft beers.  For those looking to grab a bite to eat there are plenty of tasty apps such as loaded tater tots on hand.

The prices are definitely reasonable and they run special promotions often so hanging out here will not be hard on your pockets either.  Aside from a hang out spot with friends, this is a perfect date spot to get to know someone on a date.  Think about it if you go to a movie you have to be quiet for 2 hours.  However, here you can converse over a game of pool or bowling and even put up friendly wagers, it’s a great way to connect with someone.
