THE TWISTED TAIL LAUNCHES  “TALES OF THE DISTILLER” SERIES

The Twisted Tail, the popular Southern-inspired restaurant, bar and live music venue on Headhouse Square, is excited to announce an exclusive “Tales of the Distiller” discussion and tasting with legendary Wild Turkey Master Distiller, Jimmy Russell on ThursdayMarch 23rd from 6-8pm.

Russell will be on stage in the upstairs Juke Joint with a panel of The Twisted Tail Bourbon Club members, bartenders, and members of the media to discuss the craft of his distilling process and the 60+ years of experience he has in the industry. The whiskey veteran will also lead the panel and guests through a Wild Turkey spirits tasting.

After the event, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and mingle with Russell while sipping on feature cocktails made with Wild Turkey spirits.

The event is the first in a quarterly series of panel-lead, live interviews of local distillers accompanied by spirit tastings.

“Since we’re in such a bourbon boom right now, the idea of this series is to expose people to the masterminds behind the craft of these spirits in a relaxed, fun environment,” said Master Craftsmen and Owner of The Twisted Tail, George Reilly. “Guests will learn about the history of products and overall insight into the industry.”

Guests looking to do some research before the event can try Russell’s Reserve 10 Yr. – currently the whiskey of the month at The Twisted Tail. As the featured product, guests receive $1 off per ounce all month long.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at http://bit.ly/2meK13O. Space is limited.

After his “Tales of the Distiller” appearance, Russell will be attending the American Whiskey Convention at Citizens Bank Park on March 24th as a featured guest, where he will be conducting an exclusive discussion forum and tasting.

The Twisted Tail is conveniently located near Penn’s Landing and is easily accessible from I-95 or I-76.
