Thrifting in Philly: How to Stay Trendy While Shopping at Philly Thrift Stores
When looking for all the coolest clothes for cheap prices, thrift stores are the place to go to. Philly is filled with many shops that have hidden gems in them! I went to a bunch of stores, and came up with a list of my three favorite thrift stores in Philly. I used the items I bought to dress up my daily looks.
My first stop was Heres2CoolStuff, at 1214 South Street. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they have the best accessories! I found a “#1 Dad” t-shirt with Peter Griffin on it, along with a hip fanny pack with 100 dollar bill graphics on it. Both of these items came out to $20. And don’t forget to sign the wall with some inspirational ish on your way out.
The next thrift shop I love, which was not to far from my first stop, is Buffalo Exchange located at 1520 Chestnut Street. This shop has everything you could want with their vast majority of clothes and accessories. Their labeled clothing racks makes it easy to find what you are looking for, and their extremely cheap prices, along with great items make the experience at the store amazing. Not to mention, you can selI your unwanted clothes in exchange for a discount or money back, hence the name of the store. While shopping around I found pink ripped jeans, a Bart Simpson shirt, an abstract pair of earrings, and a jean jacket with cherries on it!. The total coming out to $40.
Urban Exchange Project
Urban Exchange Project was another store I payed a visit to, located at 2050 Frankford Avenue. The prices at this shop are more expensive than the other stores, however, they contain a lot of high fashion, and vintage items. They had a wide selection of items, and if you look close enough, you are bound to leave with some cool items. I left with an awesome pair of earrings, and spent a total of $10.
Trying to keep up with different fashion trends going on now days can be tricky, but with access to awesome thrift stores in Philly, it’s extremely easy! You can find many items to fit your style just by adventuring out to Phillys thrift stores. Ballin on a budget is the key to success, so go out there and stay looking fresh!
