The Best Places in the Tri-State to Celebrate Labor Day Weekend
Looking for last minute Labor Day Weekend getaway but don’t want to travel too far from the City Of Brotherly Love? Well you’re in luck because in our own backyard there are some pretty awesome events happening this holiday weekend. No matter if you’re looking to have some fun under the sun, family vacation, a romantic getaway trip for two or even some relaxation, there’s a little something for everyone. Just hop in your car and explore the many awesome places around the ti-state during this year’s Labor Day Weekend.
The Poconos
Nearby are The Pocono Mountains. If you’re in the mood for breathtaking views then these upstate mountains are a must see. There are activities all-year-round for families to enjoy such as; zip-lining, hiking, river tubing, lake swimming and many other outdoor fun. With all of these options, it provides a great weekend for families, friends and couples alike.

September 4-7 Courthouse Square in downtown Scranton is having La Festa Italiana. Enjoy the sights, sounds and taste of Italy with great entertainment.
September 5-6, 2015 Mountain Ski Area is having there Pocono Garlic Festival. Make sure to dine, dance and indulge in everything garlic.
September 5 Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm is having there Quiet Valley’s Farm to Table Experience. Explore and taste the quiet valley life with there organic whole foods.
The Jersey Shore
We can’t forget about the good old Jersey Shore for the last hooray of the summer. Many people will flock to the shore to bask in the last couple of days of summer. From great weather to some pretty amazing fireworks, there is no way we can leave this one off the list.

Atlantic City
September 6 The Counting Crow and Citizen Cope will be performing ay the Borgate Festival Park.
September 7 One the broadwalk in front of Broadwalk Hall they will have Ballet On The Boardwalk which is a fully stage ballet.
*And of course Atlantic City offers the best partying down the shore all weekend long.
Wildwood
September 4 Celebrate the end of the summer on the beach at Pine Avenue Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Spectacular
September 4-6 At the broadwalk at Rio Grande Avenue the Labor Day Craft Show of Wildwood. All handmade products.
September 6 Come out and enjoy the end of the summer celebration with Wildwood Block Party & Music Festival with great food, games, live entertainment and much more.
Cape May
September 4-7 Check out some historical aircrafts at Cape May’s 19th Annual Airfest. The event will include vendors, food, music and much more.
September 5 The annual West Cape May Tomato Festival will feature plenty of vendors selling tomato products like salsa and salads. And it’s Jersey’s own local tomatoes.
Ocean City
September 4 Ocean City welcomes’ autumn again with it’s annual King and Queen Plop. This is a contest where people compete for the crown by falling dramatically in the sand in slow motion.
September 6 On the music pier, a musical “The World Goes Round,” “New York New York” and others will be played.
September 7 The annual Labor Day Race will take place.
Philadelphia to Camden
You don’t have to leave the city to have fun this holiday weekend. There are plenty of festivals to go to in the city.

September 4 Check out a performance from 5 Seconds of Summer at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ.
September 5-6 The Benjamin Franklin Parkway turns it the 4th annual Made in America Festival. This years line up is better than ever with performances by Big Sean, Beyonce, The Weeknd, J Cole and many others that will be taking the stage.
September 5 It’s the battle of the college rivals the ever Philadelphian looks forward to. Temple vs Penn State at The Linc.
September 6 Lo Spiedo restaurant is celebrating the holiday weekend with their Beer-B-Q at the Navy Yard. This barbecue will have live music, games and of course some good old bbq and craft beer to wash it all down.
