Across the United States people will bring in the holiday by wearing leprechaun hats, shamrock glasses, drinking green beer and wearing t-shirts with the famous “Kiss me, I’m Irish!” slogan. With all things green and shamrock, pretty much every city in the USA will hold a celebration and parades for this holiday. No matter if you’re Irish or not, St. Patrick’s Day has something for everyone to go out and have a good time.

Every St. Paddy’s Day, Chicago dye’s the Chicago River emerald green for the sake of this beloved holiday. Not only do people come from all over the world to see the infamous green river but to see the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade which marches through Columbus Drive and turns in a street party.

This city is known for its long standing and strong Irish heritage.
