The AMC DINE-IN Fashion District 8 Theater is Officially Open at the Fashion District! Here’s What to Expect!
It has taken up until today for Philadelphia to have its own dine-in-theater. Yes, back in the day there was The Bridge in University City, but it wasn’t a true in-theater dining experience. The closest we’ve gotten was one in Upper Darby. Now AMC is finally giving what every Philly movie goer has asked for, a state-of-the-art theater with where we can enjoy drinks and food other than the standard popcorn and pretzels.
The AMC DINE-IN Fashion District 8 located inside The Fashion District, will feature eight screens and reclining chairs, food and drink delivery right to your seats and “two auditoriums that support premium-format screenings only experienced at a handful of theaters nationwide. One of the auditoriums will be a Dolby Cinema theater, which boasts enhanced sound and screen brightness.” Tickets will range from $12.99 for standard movies to $16.99 for the Prime auditorium and $17.99 for the Dolby experience.
AMC DINE-IN is promoting what they are describing as handcrafted food and drinks which includes adult beverages. All of which will be delivered to your seat. The MacGruggin’s sports bar will be a staple at the theater and is slated to open around the second of third week after opening day. Pretty much what you can expect if you ever been to The Movie Tavern in Flourtown.
Food options include Chips & Queso or a Brownie Sundae (for just $5 + tax each with any menu purchase* on Discount Tuesday), dry-rub wings, flatbread, salads, Asian Steak & Shrimp bowl and a variety of burgers including their signature Royal Burger with fig jam. Everything is made to order and prepared in house.
Who isn’t tired of the outdated seats we’ve grown to be accustomed to at theaters in Philly? Well AMC DINE-In District 8 is finally giving us the seating we wanted. Enjoy the comforts from “luxurious AMC Signature Recliners.” In case you hate sitting in cold theaters, you’ll have the option to enjoy heated seats in most theaters. Just look for the controller on your seat to select your preferred setting.
Of courser all seating is reserved so you’ll be able to choose where you’ll be sitting whenever you purchase your tickets. For quicker flow, touch screen kiosks will also be available in the theater lobby.
