South St. Pop-Up Park is an Urban Oasis

I only recently found my way to the PHS pop-up park located on 15th and South St. All I have to say is that I am upset I didn’t visit this park sooner.  Once you cross the gates this space opens up to an urban oasis equipped with a cool bar, plenty of cool seating areas including a hammock, take out window for the  Jamaican Jerk Hut, and a rotating food truck line-up.  Essentially everything you need to have a great time is here.

A hammock provides a relaxing time

The space is both relaxing and fun.  A perfect place to go hang out with friends or take a date for a very chill time.  Personally I visited the park solo and enjoyed the tranquility of a clean green space in the heart of the city.  The Jamaican Jerk Hut which is also in our Top 5 Jamaican food spots in the city, has a take out window you can access from inside the park, offering some of the tastiest Caribbean dishes in town.  In addition the park rotates food trucks to keep the food variety fresh and eclectic.

The bar serves up special cocktails as well as several craft beers on tap.  You can enjoy your food and drinks at the bar which overs plenty of seating or at the variety of tables and seating areas.  There is plenty of space to gather in a group or to retreat solo and get lost in a book or iPad.

Overall this is definitely one of the better Pop-up parks in the city and worth checking out when you get a chance.  The park will remain open until mid-October and the hours are as follows:
