Manayunk Launches Stroll After Hours, a Thursday Night Series with Food Trucks, Music, Circus, Movies, Vendors, & More

Looking for the perfect Thursday night event this summer? Well, Manayunk Development Corporation just launched Stroll After Hours, a brand new weekly summer series that will take place on Thursday nights this July.

Beginning July 10th and running every Thursday through July 31st, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, Manayunk will transform into a vibrant open-air celebration filled with food, music, art and community.

Each week, visitors can look forward to food trucks, makers and crafters, outdoor movie screenings, sidewalk sales, live music by RoxYunk Porch Fest, circus performances by Circadium School of Contemporary Circus Arts, live art demonstrations, family and fido fun, and other surprise activations. Main Street will offer something for everyone – whether you are grabbing dinner, shopping local or simply trying to soak up the vibes. Shop and stroll through the District as restaurants, bars, and shops stay open late, offering exclusive Stroll After Hours specials. Stroll After Hours will close down Grape and Cotton streets, from Cresson to Main Street, in addition to activations and vendors in Canal View Park, Richards Apex, Conarroe Street, Gay Street, Manayunk’s Art Allies and in front of select businesses on Main Street.

“Manayunk will come alive on Thursday nights,” said Manayunk Development Corporation Marketing and Retail Strategy Consultant Joan Denenberg. “We are turning the entire district into a buzzing summer hotspot. It is a new twist on the beloved Stroll the Street program – but with later hours, bigger activations, more food trucks and even more epic vibes. It is a night of live entertainment, local flavor, and fun for all ages.”

“Stroll After Hours is the perfect way to spice up your midweek routine,” said MDC’s Branding and Digital Marketing Manager Janine Gasarowski.  “Whether you’re grabbing a bite, catching a movie under the stars, or just soaking up the atmosphere, Stroll After Hours offers something for everyone.”

Stroll After Hours is a brand new late night program inspired by Manayunk’s former Stroll the Street program. The new event series will be four Thursdays in a row and extend the fun through 10:00pm. All entertainment and activities are no charge and open to the public. Food, drinks, and retail items are pay-as-you-go.
