Hey Foodies: Huda Burger is Bringing Their Acclaimed Burgers to Fishtown This Summer

If you’ve seen a foodie, influencer, or food critic make a list of the top burgers in Philly, chances are you’ve seen Huda on there. Now, Chef Yehuda Sichel is bringing his acclaimed Rittenhouse sandwich shop Huda to Fishtown. Huda Burger will open in the heart of Fishtown this August at 1603 Frankford Avenue and will operate as a fast casual burger shop.

The menu will feature a rotating lineup of five to six smash burgers served on Huda’s signature house-made Japanese style seeded milk buns, including a classic cheeseburger, a create-your-own option, and a vegetarian burger. There will also be a pastrami fried onion burger, a cross between a pastrami burger and an Oklahoma-style smash burger. The menu will also include crispy chicken sandwiches, curly fries, house-made pickles, and classic milkshakes in vanilla, chocolate, and black & white.

“My partner Dan Berkowitz and I have been talking about Huda Burger for five years, and we’re so excited to finally make it real,” said Sichel. “Fishtown is quickly becoming a burger mecca, and we think the neighborhood will really connect with a local concept that’s all about great ingredients, serious flavor, and amazing burgers.”

The 1,350-square-foot space, designed by Lance Saunders, includes a half dozen indoor counter seats and a few outdoor tables. In addition to dine-in, pickup and third-party delivery will be available. Huda Burger will open daily at 11 a.m., serving all day — with plans to stay open late night as the shop ramps up.
