Travelers passing through Philadelphia International Airport can now grab a taste of California-inspired Mexican cuisine as Dos Toros Taqueria has officially opened its first Pennsylvania location.

The fast-casual favorite, known for its Mission District-style burritos and customizable menu, is now serving passengers in the food court between Terminals B and C as part of the airport’s expanding PHL Food & Shops program.

The opening marks a significant milestone for the brand, which has built a devoted following across major cities on the East Coast and Midwest but has never before operated in Pennsylvania.

Founded in 2009 by two brothers who grew up in California’s Bay Area before launching the concept near New York University, Dos Toros became known for bringing authentic Mission-style burritos to the East Coast. Today, the company operates 26 locations throughout New York, Chicago, and other major metropolitan markets.

At its new Philadelphia International Airport location, travelers can expect the brand’s signature lineup of burritos, tacos, bowls, quesadillas, salads, and nachos built around fresh ingredients and made-to-order preparation.

Popular protein options include slow-cooked steak and carnitas marinated in custom spice blends, while guests can customize meals with house-made salsas ranging from mild verde to smoky and spicy habanero.

Fresh guacamole made with Hass avocados, vegetarian offerings, plant-based options, and gluten-free selections ensure there is something for nearly every traveler.

Morning flyers can also enjoy Dos Toros’ breakfast menu, featuring breakfast burritos filled with scrambled eggs, refried beans, cheese, vegetables, and a choice of bacon, steak, or chorizo.

In addition to food, the restaurant offers a selection of Mexican and domestic beers alongside other beverages.

The arrival of Dos Toros is part of Philadelphia International Airport’s continued effort to enhance its dining options as passenger traffic increases ahead of a busy summer travel season.

“The Grove Inc. is thrilled to welcome our latest national brand partner, Dos Toros, to our portfolio at PHL,” said Nina Madonia, Chief Executive Officer of The Grove Inc. “The Dos Toros menu is fully customizable, and the made-to-order meals are always fresh and delicious. We know travelers love quality food on the go, and Dos Toros delivers.”

The restaurant was brought to PHL through The Grove Inc., an award-winning women-owned food and beverage operator that continues to expand its footprint throughout the airport. The company also operates Philly Pretzel Factory, PrimoHoagies, and recently launched Pretzels & Pints in Terminal A-East.

According to Dos Toros President Jeff Drake, the airport location represents an important step in the company’s national growth strategy.

“Bringing Dos Toros to Philadelphia International Airport marks an exciting milestone for our brand as we continue expanding into high-profile travel destinations across the country,” Drake said. “We’re incredibly proud to partner with The Grove Inc. to introduce Philadelphia passengers to the fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and hospitality that define Dos Toros.”

MarketPlace PHL officials believe the addition strengthens the airport’s growing culinary offerings.

“PHL continues to expand its culinary program with brands that bring both quality and authenticity to our terminals,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “Dos Toros offers a made-to-order option that meets the evolving needs of passengers while delivering a fast, reliable experience.”

As Philadelphia prepares for a busy year of tourism, major sporting events, and international visitors, Dos Toros adds another recognizable dining option for travelers looking for a quick meal without sacrificing quality.

Whether grabbing a breakfast burrito before an early flight or enjoying a fully loaded steak burrito during a layover, passengers can now experience the flavors that have made Dos Toros a favorite in cities across the country.
