Com.Unity Presents The 2nd Annual Philly Tết Dinner Featuring a Half a Dozen of Philly’s Top Viet Chefs

On Monday, January 27th, come celebrate Vietnamese New Year (or Tết) with your favorite Philly Vietnamese Chefs at Le Viet Restaurant (1019 S 11th St) in the heart of Little Saigon in South Philly.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Philly Tết Dinner held at Banh Mi & Bottles, Andrew Dinh Vo (Café Nhạn), Tuan Phung (Banh Mi & Bottles), Tay Cao (Le Viet), Victor Nguyen (Ba Le Bakery), and Jacob Trinh (Little Fish) are joined by James Beard Award nominee, Thanh Nguyen (Gabriella’s). This all-Vietnamese Chef collaboration is a way to bring the Philly Vietnamese community and its supporters together while also celebrating its achievements and evolution in as written about by food/travel writer Adam Erace here.

Leveraging culture & food as a point of resonance, this event presented by Com.Unity will also include a Lion Dance performance by Chinatown’s own Philadelphia Suns and a mini Vendors Market curated by JTTW with an all AAPI music selection by DJ Musho.

Lunar New Year/Tết is one of the most important celebrations of the year among many Asian cultures, and particularly in Vietnam. Participating chefs will be presenting dishes exclusive to the dinner such as Five Spice Roasted Duck Breast, Salted Egg Fried Prawns, a twist on the traditional Thit Kho Trung, and more.

Tickets are available via Resy for $108 per person (+ tax & gratuity), as 8 is a number bringing all the luck in the New Year in Chinese/Vietnamese culture. Seating will be at 5pm with a second seating at 7:30pm to be released at a later date. The event is expected to sell out, so early reservations are encouraged.
