The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America is Coming to The Bellevue Featuring Over 10 Of Philly’s Most Talented Chefs

The James Beard Foundation®, the organization behind the James Beard Awards®, the most prestigious culinary recognition in the country, recently announced that its Taste America culinary series is returning to Philly with a walk-around tasting on March 25th at 7:00 p.m. at The Grand Belle at The Bellevue in partnership with Cescaphe.

Presented by Capital One, the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® series celebrates culinary excellence and the local independent restaurants at the heart of our communities, bringing together chefs and food lovers for unique dining experiences across 20 U.S. cities. The Philadelphia walk-around tasting will feature chef Randy Rucker from Little Water and River Twice, recognized as one of the industry’s finest culinary talents and changemakers as part of the Foundation’s annual class of TasteTwenty chefs—who will champion the James Beard Foundation’s mission of Good Food for Good® at this special event, in collaboration with local guest chefs. Tickets for the Taste America Philadelphia tasting are on sale now at jamesbeard.org/tasteamerica.

Bringing together the local culinary community and beyond in celebration of local independent food culture, this major event hosted at The Grand Belle at The Bellevue, in partnership with Cescaphe, will be an unparalleled opportunity for guests to experience the exceptional and delicious work of James Beard Foundation-curated talent. TasteTwenty host chef Randy Rucker of Little Water and River Twice will lead the event, alongside local guest chefs from around the city. Rucker is known for thoughtfully sourcing ingredients and creating meaningful connections between his food and diners. The tasting will feature over seven food and beverage stations as well as sponsor and partner activations, with more stations to be announced. Participating chefs include:

  • Cristina Martinez of South Philly Barbacoa
  • Amanda Rafalski of Friday Saturday Sunday and James Beard Award Winner
