Art in the Age Is Popping Up at Liberty Kitchen to Serve Up Special Hoagie Martinis for One Day Only

Two of Philadelphia’s most beloved names—Art in the Age and Liberty Kitchen—are joining forces for a one-day-only culinary crossover that’s equal parts inventive and indulgent. On Saturday, October 25th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., fans of bold flavors can head to Liberty Kitchen (1400 N. Front Street, Fishtown) for the debut of the Hoagie Martini, a savory cocktail inspired by the city’s favorite sandwich.

This limited-time creation is the latest innovation from the experimental spirits brand Art in the Age, known for pushing cocktail boundaries with their viral concoctions like the Weenie Martini. Now, they’re taking it a step further—partnering with Liberty Kitchen, Fishtown’s go-to spot for elevated hoagies, to craft a martini that’s unmistakably Philly.

The Hoagie Martini ($13) features genoa salami fat-washed Art in the Age Vodka, Cinzano Vermouth, and a finishing drizzle of olive oil, topped with a skewered slice of Liberty Kitchen’s Italian Salumeria hoagie—a flavorful mix of cured meats, mild provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, creamy balsamic, and a signature pepper relish kick. It’s briny, rich, and beautifully bizarre in all the right ways.

“We conquered the Weenie Martini, so as a Philadelphia company, the only logical next step was a Hoagie Martini,” said Steven Grasse, Founder and Owner of Art in the Age. “Our new vodka is a great canvas for infusions, fat-washing, and all kinds of strange, amazing flavors – which has always been what we try to do with Art in the Age.”

Guests 21 and over can sip on their martinis while enjoying Liberty Kitchen’s full menu of handcrafted hoagies, sandwiches, and salads. The event is pay-as-you-go, and outdoor seating will be available in the shop’s charming garden space.

“I love a good martini, so when the idea of serving them alongside our hoagies came up, I was all in,” said Beau Neidhardt, Executive Chef at Liberty Kitchen. “It’s not every day you get to sit in our garden, crush a hoagie, and wash it down with an ice-cold martini. I think people are going to have a good time—because honestly, who can turn down a hoagie and a martini?”

Their newly launched Art in the Age Vodka—used in the Hoagie Martini—joins the brand’s distinctive lineup, including Art in the Age Gin, Dunce Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Graverobber Unholy Rye Maple Whiskey, Old Baldy Spiced Apple Whiskey, and Siege of Wolves Spiced Rum.
