Learn How to Make Your Own Pasta at Scarpetta’s Wine Tasting & Pasta Making Class
Love wine and pasta? I mean who doesn’t especially from one of the city’s top Italian spots. Popular Rittenhouse Italian restaurant, Scarpetta (210 W Rittenhouse Sq.) wants you to enjoy the perfect combo of pasta and wine in a cool workshop spearheaded by Chef Michael Loughlin where you get to make your own pasta.
Learn how to hand make Scarpetta’s signature spaghetti from scratch, while sipping on fine wine, indulging in light canapes and enjoying a behind the scenes tour of Scarpetta’s state-of-the-art kitchen *all you need to bring is an appetite*
Sounds good? Well, here’s how it pans out:
- Start at the bar with canapes and wine as our manager talks you through the story of Scarpetta.
- Head upstairs to the kitchen to meet Chef Michael Loughlin, who will walk you through the daily production and get you set up to start making your own spaghetti
- Roll up your sleeves and get to work at your station
- Enjoy your handmade pasta with our signature tomato basil sauce, along with our freshly baked bread basket, with wine pairing. Finish the meal with chef’s selection of our homemade desserts.
This wine and pasta experience is $175 a person with several dates to choose from, tickets available on Eventbrite. The next class will take place July 16th, 11 am – 2 pm. The following classes are August 13th, 11 am -2 pm, September 24th, 11 am – 2pm.
