Bake’N Bacon Is Offering Free Meals to South Philly Teachers and Administrators
Bake’N Bacon, located at 11th and Ellsworth Streets in South Philly, will host a community initiative offering free meals to local teachers and school administrators ahead of the upcoming school year. The event will take place Saturday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the restaurant, the initiative is intended to show appreciation for educators as they prepare for the new school year, a period that often involves teachers spending their own money on classroom supplies. The event is also intended to help establish ongoing partnerships between the restaurant and local educators.
“Our teachers and administrators are the backbone of this neighborhood,” the Bake’N Bacon team said in a statement. The restaurant described the free meal as a way to express gratitude for educators’ work and said it hopes to continue building relationships with local school staff going forward.
The event is open to South Philadelphia teachers and school administrators and will take place at Bake’N Bacon’s 11th and Ellsworth Streets location.
