The Philly True Crime BYOB Trolley Tour Returns With Live Music and Plenty of Skin-Crawling Tales

Philadelphia’s own Founding Footsteps BYOB Trolley Tours is back with one of the city’s most chilling fall traditions — the Philly True Crime Tour. Now in its sixth year, the experience has grown into one of Philly’s most sought-after Halloween season attractions, blending eerie history with immersive storytelling.

This year’s tour will run September 25th through November 2nd. Guests will hear gruesome and fascinating tales from the city’s darker chapters, including the story of H.H. Holmes, America’s first serial killer and Philadelphia native, as well as details of the nation’s first bank robbery in Old City. The trolley doesn’t just recount history — it takes riders through the streets where many of these infamous crimes unfolded.

The experience combines live music, theatrical storytelling, and video presentations featuring interviews and archival news clips. Riders are encouraged to pack their favorite beer, wine, or spirits and settle in aboard Founding Footsteps’ signature haunted BYOB trolley.
