Manayunk Restaurant Week Returns This September With Over Two Dozen Restaurants Offering Lunch and Dinner Menus at $15, $25, $35 and $45

Manayunk Restaurant Week will return September 14 through 20, featuring two dozen restaurants, eateries and cafes along Main Street Manayunk. Organizers describe this year’s event as the largest fall restaurant week in the city, following a record-breaking turnout last year.

Participating restaurants will offer specially priced lunch and dinner menus at $15, $25, $35 and $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Lunch menus start at $15, while multi-course dinner offerings are available at the $25, $35 and $45 price points.

Joan Denenberg, Marketing & Retail Strategy for the Manayunk Development Corporation, said Restaurant Week is one of the organization’s most anticipated culinary events each year, bringing together the neighborhood’s restaurant community while encouraging visitors to explore Manayunk’s range of dining options. She said the event offers both longtime residents and first-time visitors a chance to support local businesses while enjoying meals at a value.

The growing list of participating restaurants includes:

Bar Jawn, Bayou, Blondie, Cactus Restaurant & Bar, Chabaa Thai Bistro, JD McGillicuddy’s Manayunk, Jakes & Coopers, Lucky’s Last Chance, Manayunk Brew Pub, Mia Ragazza, New Leaf, Ryan’s Pub, Sophie’s BBQ, Somo Manayunk, Taqueria Amor, The Brass Tap, The Goat’s Beard, The Rook, The Tomato Shack, Tubby Robot Ice Cream Factory, Yanako, and Zestys.

Guests can expect a range of cuisines throughout the week, from contemporary American fare and international dishes to casual neighborhood spots and more elevated dining experiences. Select restaurants will also offer featured cocktails, beers and other beverages throughout the event.

In addition to dining specials, organizers are encouraging visitors to spend time exploring Manayunk’s shopping district along Main Street, including its boutiques, galleries and other local attractions. Evenings during Restaurant Week will also feature busker performances along Main Street, including returning local musicians who performed in the neighborhood throughout the summer.

Brendan McGrew, Director of Operations for Voracious Hospitality Group, which operates The Goat’s Beard and Mia Ragazza, said the event’s tiered pricing structure allows diners to select a menu that fits their budget while giving restaurants a chance to highlight signature dishes. McGrew said the pricing model benefits both diners and restaurants by encouraging guests to visit multiple venues throughout the week, while giving restaurants the opportunity to showcase their offerings to new and returning customers.

Organizers recommend making reservations early, as participating restaurants are expected to fill up throughout the week. A full list of participating restaurants and menus is available at manayunk.com/mnyk-events/restaurant-week/.
