You Can Own a Piece of the Draught Horse in an Auction!
You may remember when we broke the news that Temple’s oldest bar the Draught Horse was closing its doors after 20 years in business. Now for all Temple alum and fans of the bar, you can take a piece of this legendary bar home with you. Jennings Auction Group in York Haven, PA is actioning off everything from kitchen equipment to neon signs to tap handles.
“Complete online liquidation of kitchen and bar equipment, booths, tables, chairs, barstools, Neon Beer Signs, 100’s of Beer Tap Handles, Decor, 20+ Televisions, kitchen and bar smallwares, glasses and more! The restaurant is not closing until Feb. 23rd, so look for additional photos and information to be added to existing lots…and lots more items to be added. We will update information and lots weekly. Feb. 18th Just Added New Lots…new neon, new tap handles (100s to go). Keep checking back. Exact removal times to be determined. Sat. to Mon. March 20th, 21st and 22nd. Specific times for large equipment removal and small item pick up. Parking and access is limited,” reads Jennings Auctions post. The auction is running now and ends March 18th at 2 pm.
We spoke with owner BJ Jennings who is fielding tons of inquiries on the auction. She made sure to note that her nephew is a Temple grad and phoned her directly with interest. So for those looking to spice up the man cave or she den, this would be the perfect opportunity to load up on some Temple history.
