Friday night head on over to the Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons (1001 N 2nd St) for a free Salsa Night at the Commons. Start the night off with a free lesson at 7:00pm from the Philadelphia Dance Foundation, then strut your new moves on the dance floor from 7:30-10:00pm. Saturday afternoon head to Uptown Beer Garden Uptown Beer Garden (1735 JFK Boulevard) and have a few brews and some BBQ with local cult favorite brewery, Carton Brewing. From 2:00pm until Midnight, they will be taking over the taps featuring 10 oz Carton Brewing beers like Rickey (a “Gin Rickey” sour) and Rub (a “Dry Rub” Porter) for $7.00 as well as Half Acre Beer Company drafts for $5.00. If day drinking makes you hungry, don’t worry they’ve got you covered. Check out grilled specials like spare ribs, chili dogs and smoked brisket.
