This Month Martha Kensington is Hosting a Plant-Based Cheesesteak Pop-up!
There’s been tons of variations of the classic Philly cheesesteaks including great plant-based cheesesteaks. However, if you’ve never had an opportunity to give it a try, Martha Kensington is hosting a plant-based cheesesteak pop-up on February 21st from 12-4 pm.
Located at 2113 E York St, Martha Kensington describes itself as a “locally sourced, fermentation focused, cozy neighborhood bar that features hoagies, vegetables, natural wine, draft cocktails, sour beer, cheese, pickles, and so much more.”
The pop-up will feature guest chefs Andrew Magee, D Milly, Olive, and Chef Aric Archebelle-Smith (aka bread artist) who will be providing the rolls. The plant-based cheesesteak consists of “seared local shrooms, celeriac, black garlic onions, slathered with melted daikon on Aric’s bread with a side of Fishtown Ferments hot hoagie spread.” These are available for pre-order only.
