Soul Sessions Is Hosting a Tribute to the Divas of Soul With Covers of Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, & More
Soul Sessions Tribute returns with its “Divas of Soul” edition on Tuesday, September 22, at Fringe Bar, located at 140 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd. in Old City. The event is led by musical director Luke Carlos O’Reilly and hosted by Jay The Gentleman. This edition of the tribute series honors influential female vocalists, including Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Chaka Khan and Tina Turner.
This evening’s performance will feature vocalists Megan Nicolle, Ashley Howard and Nari Anthony.
Jay The Gentleman said the event marks a return to the Fringe Bar stage following a brief hiatus in August. He said the selected vocalists reflect the artistry needed to honor the legendary performers being celebrated, and expressed excitement for the audience to experience this edition of the tribute.
Table reservations and general admission tickets are available now. Table reservation prices include event admission. Guests with table reservations have a 15-minute window to claim their table after arrival; tables not claimed within that window will be released to the next party on the waitlist. Due to demand, table reservations are limited to guests ordering food and beverages, and the kitchen closes at 10 p.m.
General admission ticket holders will be seated on the second level, which operates on a first-come, first-seated basis with no table reservations available upstairs. Guests ordering drinks or food must do so downstairs at the bar.
