Enjoy Free Live Performances Across 65+ Porches at the 5th Annual RoxYunk Porchfest
RoxYunk Porchfest, a grassroots music festival celebrating local music and community in Roxborough and Manayunk, will return for its fifth year on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. Created by local residents, the free festival transforms residential porches into stages for live performances throughout the neighborhood.
This year’s festival is sponsored by Roxborough Memorial Hospital, Hilltown Tavern, Roger Ross and Nancy LaNoce, with support from the Roxborough Development Corporation. Organizers say community involvement is at an all-time high, citing a record number of participating porches and performance spaces, local business sponsorship, and strong neighbor turnout for non-music events such as yard sales.
Attendees can expect a showcase of the area’s music scene, spanning genres from rock and folk to jazz and hip-hop. The expanded lineup features established bands and emerging artists performing on more than 65 porches and performance areas. Porch performances begin at noon and continue until 6 p.m., with some hosts choosing to play later into the evening.
Local businesses and nonprofits, including North Light Community Center and Hattal-Taylor VFW Post 333, will also host their own acts. The Roxborough Library will host exclusively metal and punk rock performances.
The day begins with the Porchfest Kickoff Party at 11 a.m. at Fairview Park, located at 4418 Manayunk Avenue. The kickoff will feature performances by the Greater Philadelphia Gamer Symphony Orchestra and local bands the Schist Creek Stompers, the Murder Hornets and Todd Young and His Rock Band. Speedy Squirrel Design will be vending at the kickoff, along with a charity bake sale from Cookies for Community.
Attendees can navigate the festival using the official online map, which shows performances, yard sales, block parties and other DIY events. Three block parties will take place this year:
- Pechin Street between Roxborough Avenue and Rector Street
- Jamestown Street between Manayunk Avenue and Terrace Street
- Brewery Alley at Carson Street and Baker Street
While the festival is open to anyone within the 19127 and 19128 zip code areas, its approximate boundaries are Main Street to the south, Dawson Street to the east, Fountain Street to the west and Ridge Avenue to the north.
