Bravo Top Chef Winner, Chef Nicholas Elmi of Laurel, ITV and Royal Boucherie, will host Philadelphia’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry on Thursday, May 9, 2019. The evening, brings together dozens of the area’s best chefs and mixologists – all to raise the critical funds needed to end childhood hunger across
the US.

Held at Bok Bar, Philadelphia’s Taste of the Nation is one in a national series of events featuring culinary creations crafted by the country’s most celebrated and generous chefs, sommeliers and mixologists, united to ensure all children in America have access to the nutritious meals they need, every day. One-hundred-percent of proceeds support the No Kid Hungry campaign’s work to end childhood hunger in America.

Guests can mix and mingle with Philadelphia’s tastemakers while enjoying bite-size fare, craft cocktails and delectable desserts. Notable Philadelphia culinary talent and eateries participating include: Abe Fisher, Amis, Barbuzzo, Cadence, Fond, Fork, Hardena, Lacroix Restaurant, Lalo, Le Virtu, Noord, Nunu, Osteria, Pistolas Del Sur, Res Ipsa, Sate Kampar, Townsend, Vetri Cucina, Andiario, Musi, Spice Finch, Vernick Food & Drink, Walnut Street Café, Will BYOB/Forsythia.
“One in six children in America lives with hunger, including more than 1 in 8 in Pennsylvania,” said Chef Nicholas Elmi, Chef Committee Chair. “I’m proud to partner with No Kid Hungry for a fun evening that’s serious about ending childhood hunger.”

Chef Committee consists of Committee Chair Nicholas Elmi; Kiki Aranita, Poi Dog; Pierre Calmels, Bibou; Jesse Ito, Royal Izakya & Sushi; and Judy Ni and Andy Tessier, bão • ology. Philadelphia’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry is supported by national co-presenting sponsors Citi and Sysco®, national media sponsor Food Network, and national sponsor OpenTable. Additionally, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Barr Hill will be onsite along with local sponsors La Colombe and Mainstay Independent Brewing.
