Earlier this week PGW announced that they will be lowering gas bills for commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential customers this fall. So what does that mean for you? Well if you are a residential customer of PGW you can expect a decrease of 6.9% which comes out to a savings of $99 for the year. If you are wondering how to do the math, basically the current rate is $1.51 per hundred cubic feet (Ccf) and it will be dropping to $1.40 per Ccf for residential customers. Residential customers’ average usage for the year is approximately 850 Ccf,
PGW reviews its rates quarterly to determine pricing. The new rate went into effect September 1st and is expected to stay the same up until November 30th.
