NJ Casino’s and Racetracks Can Offer Sports Betting Effective Immediately
In what looks to be an effort to save Atlantic City from being the fanciest ghost town ever, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has just issued a directive to let all New Jersey casino and racetrack to offer sports betting, effective immediately and without fear of criminal or civil liability.
Although, Governor Christie has tried to implement sports betting in the past to no avail, Christie stated that he sees no laws in New Jersey’s books that prohibit sports better. Opposition is expected from professional and collegiate governing bodies that have fought Governor Christie’s efforts in the past and prohibit sports better in all but four states. Governor
