It’s been almost a year since the nightlife and live music industry came to a grinding halt. Bartenders, porters, managers, promoters, DJs and more were for the first time wondering about the future of their industry.

In order to raise awareness of the state of the nightlife, local entertainment company Double Down Entertainment is partnering with Boston’s Big Night Entertainment Group and the Mile A Day Challenge community to organize the “Run for a Plan” one mile run on December 31st.

Their mission is to “gain awareness for thousands of talented service, nightlife, and music industry professionals who’re being left out in the cold due to this pandemic. They are colleagues, friends, and family to me so we decided to make or voices heard and run together, run for a plan.”

LA’s own DJ Vice will be joining the thousands of nightlight workers across the country expected to take part of Run for a Plan on New Year’s Eve Day.  The run is expected to take place rain, sleet, snow or sunshine! Participants are encouraged to “walk, Run, Skip, Jog – just one mile in recognition of our values co workers who help keep our industry running all year.”
