The All New Teassert Bar Will Serve Thai Ice Cream and Bubble Tea in Chinatown
I guess it’s move over water ice because this summer it looks like Thai ice cream will be taking over. Extremely popular in larger cities such as NYC and L.A, Thai ice cream is essentially ice cream made before your eyes on an extremely cold surface then scraped into rolls. The newest shop that plans to sell this high anticipated desert is the soon-to-be open Teassert in Chinatown (227 N. 10th St.).
Slated to open their doors in mid-June Teassert aims to serve all natural ingredients to ensure the best quality products. That’s right, not all Thai ice cream is created equal. In fact many ice cream roll shops use powder for their ice cream. Couple that with bubble tea being made with fructose as their sweetener and you have a recipe for a tummy ache. However, Teassert plans on using fresh dairy for their ice cream and honey or sugar cane in their bubble tea for maximum quality.
As their website states, “Quality is the new world standard, and at Teassert Bar we are committed to being the forerunner in influencing the ice cream and bubble tea industry as a healthy indulgence.” We couldn’t agree more about the quality standard which is why we can’t wait to get our hands on some and give you guys the official review!
