MMM30: Philly Truce Foundation to Honor 30th Anniversary of the Million Man March With Weeklong Citywide Tribute
The Philly Truce Foundation has announced MMM30 — the Million Man March 30th Anniversary Tribute, a near-weeklong series of events happening across Philly from October 22–26, 2025. Part of the organization’s broader “Year of Brotherly Action” campaign, MMM30 aims to rally the Black community, invest in Black men, and spark a movement of renewal as the nation approaches its 250th birthday in 2026.
The series kicks off with a press conference on Saturday, September 20 at 3:00 p.m. at City Hall’s North Apron, where organizers will outline the significance of the celebration.
The original Million Man March, organized by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, drew nearly two million Black men to Washington, D.C. on October 16, 1995 in a historic show of unity, responsibility, and self-determination. Now, three decades later, MMM30 seeks to channel that same spirit right here in the city where America began.
“Thirty years after the Million Man March, the need for Black men to stand together in unity, accountability, and love is as urgent as ever,” said Mazzie Casher, Co-Founder of the Philly Truce Foundation. “MMM30 is not just about honoring the past — it’s about rebirthing a vision for the future right here in Philly.”
