It seems like yesterday when we were reporting on who would get the last casino license in Philadelphia.  At one point it looked like Wynn Resorts would build a casino near Penn Treaty Park however those plans were dashed and  Live! Casino swooped in.  Now after years of development and back and forth with the city Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia has finally declared an opening date.  The South Philly casino is set to open its doors February 11th at 8pm once the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission gives their approval.

For those not looking to wait until February the casino is offering reservation only previews on January 19th.  Reservations are available on their official website.

In total Live! Casino will feature over 2,100 slots and electronic table games, a 29 table Poker room and 150 live-action table games.  In addition the hotel will offer 208 rooms. All-in-all, Live! Casino will be 12 stories and 510,000 sq. ft. of gaming and luxury hotel space.  Parking will also be provided with an attached multi-level garage.

As for dining options, guests will be able to choose from an assortment of restaurants including Lorenzo and Sons Pizza, Termini Brothers Bakery, Morty’s Deli,Sang Kee Noodle Bar, Luk Fu, Sports & Social Philly Lounge and the highly anticipated Prime Rib Steakhouse.  Celebrity chef Guy Fieri will also offer a burger and taco spot as well.

Philadelphia anticipates Live! Casino & Hotel to generate over $2 billion in economic stimulus to the city and over $100 million in tax revenue within the first five years of operation. $25 million of which will be given to the School District of Philadelphia.
