Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies Announce Plans for a $12 Million Upgrade to Xfinity Live!
Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies today announced plans for a dynamic upgrade of the successful Xfinity Live! destination in the Philadelphia Sports Complex. For over a decade, Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies have enjoyed a partnership in building and operating Xfinity Live!, which welcomes millions of visitors a year as a vibrant staple in South Philadelphia.
The upgrades, totaling approximately $12 million, will include enhancing Xfinity Live!’s outdoor plaza for game days, festivals and community events, as well as improvements to the interior and exterior of Xfinity Live! which is celebrating its 12th anniversary this spring. Upgrades to the plaza, which will add several new gathering areas and terraces, is slated to begin this year with an anticipated completion date of 2025 or early 2026. It will be done in phases to allow areas of the facility to always remain open.

Since opening in 2012, Xfinity Live! has been the pre-eminent dining, entertainment, and hospitality anchor for the region, creating a spirited fan experience for Flyers, Eagles, Phillies and 76ers fans, as well as out of town guests. Welcoming millions of visitors a year, Xfinity Live! has energized the Philadelphia Sports Complex via year-round events and experiences including concerts, festivals, family fun days, community functions, charity events, and watch parties.
The partnership is proud to have exceeded MWBE thresholds for minority and local participation during the construction of Xfinity Live!, achieving a 45% contracting diversity percentage, and is committed to the same during the upgrades to the interior, exterior and plaza areas. In addition to Xfinity Live!, The Cordish Companies has invested over $800 million in the Philadelphia Sports Complex with the opening of its Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia in 2021, reaching 51% MWBE participation during construction.
