Francisville Steps Up Their Food Scene With the All-New Gin & Pop!
With many neighborhoods on fire when it comes to real estate and attracting new residents, the restaurants businesse is looking to cash out. We’ve seen the NoLibs & Fishtown food scene boom, causing other neighborhoods to step-up their game. Well, a slice of a forgotten Philly is looking to make a name for itself in the midst of the food wars. Francisville which is part the the “Art Museum Area,” is now home to the all-new Gin & Pop.
The birthplace of Lil Uzi, has been lost in the shadows of nearby Fairmount and Brewerytown, which have been the focus of many developers. However, this chunk of the neighborhood is going through its own transformation and Gin & Pop owners Kris & Tom Kwiatkowski seized the opportunity. Located at 1839 Poplar St., Gin & Pop is serving up its own take of pub fair. Considering Tom’s past gigs being at Scarpetta and MilkBoy, expect some comfort food with a classy twist. As far as drinks, there are about 10 taps and a very well stocked bar to make this a great place to indulge in either or. Check out the menu options below:
