Foot Locker & Nike are Hosting a Block Party to Highlight the Ava Rover Sneaker Featuring BMX Stunts

Hey sneakerheads and BMX fans, need plans for today? Well, Foot Locker and Nike are hosting a special block party July 25th from 4-7 pm at the Roosevelt Mall (2329 Cottman Ave.) to celebrate the release of their new Ava Rover sneaker.

This family friendly event will feature Philly’s own DJ AMH spinning hits while guests will get to enjoy live BMX stunts. The block party will be hosted by YoChubbs and BikeLifeRex.

Not familiar with the sneaker? Well, Nike’s new Ava Rover sneaker is designed for city streets and “designed for all-day, year-round wear, the Ava Rover features a durable rubber outsole and a lightweight woven upper that gently hugs the foot. Nike first released the innovative, fashion-forward sneaker in early June 2025 in an exclusive black colorway, created in collaboration with Korean fashion designer Hyein Seo. The Ava Rover launches worldwide in Fossil Clay and Black Muslin, plus additional colorways on nike.com and select retail partners by the end of July 2025,” Nike states.
