Whether it’s the Winterfest of Summerfest, the Blue Cross RiverRink is always introducing new features and menu options so the experience is never the same.  For all of ya’ll skate fanatics that have been polishing your Hard Candy skates, waiting  for the Summerfest to start, you’re in for a treat.

summerfestThis summer, the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is feature some cool new additions, including something that I’ve personally been championing for, a mini-gulf course.  Featuring 9 holes, the new “Artful Golfer Mini-Golf Course will be located adjacent to the rink between the Waterfront Crabshack and Franklin Fountain. Each of the 9 mini-golf holes is being designed by a local artist who are donating their time and recycled materials to create this wonderful addition to Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest.”

In addition to the new course, Chickie’s and Pete’s has a treat in-store for all the foodies visiting this summer.  What better summertime food to enjoy than seafood?(unless you’re allergic than that pretty much sucks :/)  If you visited the RiverRink during the Winterfest then you may remember the winger lodge, well now its been transformed into the Waterfront Crabshack.  “The air-conditioned space will feature picnic tables, with paper table covering, crab pots, and beach-themed décor. This exciting new dining destination will bring the authentic crab and seafood feast experience to the Philadelphia waterfront.”
