Art Under the Stars Returns to the Sculpture Courtyard With Over 20 Artists, Live Painters, Food, and Live Music
Art Under the Stars will return on Saturday, August 22, from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Sculpture Courtyard, located at 1717 N. Hancock St. in Philadelphia. The annual event is centered on celebrating living artists and features original artwork, live painting, music and food.
The event was founded by visual artist and event curator Jona Shreeves-Taylor, who created the show around the idea that artists should be recognized while they are alive rather than posthumously, a theme reflected in the floral arrangements that decorate the venue each year. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
Guests can browse and purchase original artwork and merchandise from more than 20 visual artists, along with watching live painting throughout the evening. Music will be curated by Brotha Taaj and DJ YNGFU, with accompaniment from a live jazz band.

Exhibiting artists include @simonesgallery, @chiefmoonhead, @sydnysajj, @josh.allain, @jacksongemstonesart, @hobbsismyname, @esh_mae, and @arthurhaywood.
Food offerings will include soul food from Mr. D’s Homestyle Cooking and sweets from Cloud Cups Gelato. A cash bar will serve cocktails and other drinks until 10 p.m.
