Amazon Just Signed the Lease on a 207,370-square-foot Warehouse in Northeast Philly!
Amazon has benefited tremendously during the pandemic. Online shopping boomed and as a result, Amazon has been expending their operations. As a result of this Amazon is preparing to ramp-up operations in Northeast Philadelphia.
A newly built warehouse located in the Byberry East Industrial Park will be Amazon’s Philadelphia Logistics Center. The 207,370 square-food facility will employ roughly 280 full and part-time employees. If you recall Amazon has made a commitment to hire 100,000 full and part-time workers with a minimum pay of $15 an hour.
This will be one of 24 new facilities Amazon plans to use in the Philadelphia region including Delaware and New Jersey. When it’s all said and done, Amazon will have expended to 9.4 million additional square-feet of operation space.
