All Love Block Party Returns to West Philly With 20+ DJs, Vendors, a Vendor Marketplace, Food, and More
The All Love Block Party returns for its ninth year on Saturday, July 18, from 1 PM to 9 PM at the Fourth District Container Village (4862-70 Parkside Avenue, West Philadelphia), bringing a full festival atmosphere to the streets completely free of charge. However, registration is required and can be done at allloveblockparty.com
The All Love Block Party was born in 2017 on the 1700 block of North Randolph Street, created by Sync Production Group co-founders Melvin Powell and Saleem “Brotha Taaj” Sabree. The duo had been producing block parties since their days at Temple University, where from 2012 to 2013 they hosted four events designed to bridge the gap between Temple students and North Philadelphia residents. After connecting with rapper Asher Roth, they assembled a lineup featuring Chuck Inglish, Chynna Rogers, DJ Aktive, and DJ Sylo — and the All Love Block Party was born.
This year’s event moves to the Fourth District Container Village and is presented in partnership with Almost Famous, which was founded by Melasia Pinder and currently occupies a storefront at 9th & Market
“The All Love Block Party, the flagship event of Black Soul Summer, is our testament to creative independence,” says the Sync Production Group. “All Love aims to create a joyous, outdoor festival experience for the community, free of charge. Each year, we strive to foster a sense of belonging as we celebrate the arts together.”
This year’s theme centers on Philadelphia’s creative economy — celebrating the city’s music, art, and collaborative spirit through every element of the event. Guests will be welcomed with live art activations, a curated vendor marketplace featuring 20+ local Black-owned brands, and the opportunity to shop with retail vendors based inside the container village itself.
