A 10 ft. Great White Has Pinged Off the Coast of Atlantic City! Here’s Where It’s Been All Year
A 10 ft. 2 inch female shark by the name of Miss May just pinged off the coast of Atlantic City. Sharks have four phases when it comes to age. “Young of Year, ” Juvenile,” Sub-Adult,” and “Adult.” Miss May is currently listed as a Sub Adult.
Miss May was the first white shark tagged during OCEARCH’s Expedition NASFA. The 10-foot white shark was named after Mayport, FL which will be OCEARCH’s future home at a joint Jacksonville University and OCEARCH facility. See the chart below to see what Miss May has been to over the last year.
