An All-New F1 Arcade is Coming to Center City Featuring Food, Drinks, Watch Parties and More
F1 has been making major moves to get more Americans exposed to their global sport including the Las Vegas Grand Prix that took place last November. Although domestically F1 isn’t as popular as our big four, globally it’s ranked as the fourth most watch sport in the world. Now the owners behind F1 Arcade are banking on Philly’s love for sports and entertainment with their soon-to-be opened location in Center City.
Having already opened in Boston, F1 Arcade has several other U.S locations slated to open soon including Las Vegas, Washington D.C, and or course Philly. The F1 Arcade Philadelphia location is scheduled to open in 2025 and will be located at the old West Elm (1330 Chestnut St.) .
Encompassing 19,000 sq. ft., the new F1 Arcade will feature simulators with large curved screens, vibrating seats, and motion responsive cockpits, “our simulators are top-of-the-line, designed to emulate the thrills of F1 racing. Team up or go head to head. Hop on with your friends or family and experience the excitement and the full-motion of a Formula One car as you drive around the world’s most iconic tracks,” F1 Arcade states. As for the cost, expect to pay anywhere between $20-$25 for three races in addition the venue will also host watch parties and offer private event space as well.
Aside from the racing simulators, F1 Arcade will also serve alcoholic beverages including beers and cocktails along with a food options. “We take food seriously at F1 Arcade. Our culinary team have created a show-stopping menu with a curated collection of dishes that cater to all tastes, including vegan and gluten-free options, and a kids menu. We’ve got crowd favorites like Wagyu steak sliders and mini tacos, and for sweet-toothed racers, we have lots of indulgent desserts, perfect for fuelling up for the next race,” F1 Arcade states.
For reference, the Boston Menu includes items such as Crab Claws ($28), Caviar Service ($180), Seafood Tower ($119), Barbacoa Tacos ($19), F1 Arcade Burger ($17). Boa Buns ($16), and many more options.
In a recently released press release US President of F1 Arcade, Jon Gardner stated, “We’re excited to announce our fourth U.S. location right in the heart of Philly. Philadelphia, with its rich culture and history, felt like the perfect next step for our U.S. expansion.”
