Attention Card Collectors: The Fishtown Card Show is Back At Rivers Casino With 140+ Vendors
As we’ve seen in recent years, the trading card & collectibles industry has been booming. With this rebirth in popularity, card shows have been springing up all across the country & one of the largest events in the city continues to grow in size and reach – The Fishtown Card Show is returning to Rivers Casino on Sunday, August 27th from 10am to 4pm for their final 2023 event.
Guests will be able to peruse over 140 vendor tables spanning a massive 10,000 square foot ballroom featuring sports cards, Pokémon/TCG, vintage, collectibles, sports & Philly art, memorabilia, comics & much more. For added convenience, this event features free parking, free wifi, free entry for kids 10 & under, free door prizes for attendees & plenty of food & drink options available for purchase. Oh and if you wanted to catch the Phills game that day, no worries because it will be broadcasted live on two giant built-in projector screens
“For the first time, we are excited to be featuring an athlete autograph guest at our show & it is none other than Philadelphia 76ers Center Paul Reed aka BBall Paul,” states Fishtown Card Show Founder Brett Kaz. “This is our sixth show at Rivers Casino since 2022 & they’ve continued to get bigger and better each time. The continued support from the Philadelphia area sports & collectibles community has been overwhelming, and we’re blessed to be a part of it,” Brett adds.
With an attendance that exceeds 1,000 per show, the Fishtown Card Show has garnered so much popularity that it will be moving to a two-day format starting on Pro Bowl Weekend, February 3rd & 4th (2024) as well as expanding into South Jersey this November. “The goals are to nurture & grow the greater Philadelphia area hobby community through our live events, while continuing to grow the Fishtown Card Show into one of the premier sports card and collectibles shows on the east coast. Additionally, we recently announced a new event called the Cherry Hill Card Expo, a 200+ table event at the Doubletree Cherry Hill debuting this November 25th. We believe the two events will build off one another over time & offer our vendors and attendees more opportunities to get together & enjoy the card collecting hobby,” Brett explained.
So if you’re looking to either get started on this wave or need to dust off your collection to get back in the game, this is the perfect opportunity to buy, sell, trade, browse, or show off what you got!
General admission is $10, with a $15 VIP option which offers early admission (9am) & additional free door prizes. Admission & Paul Reed autograph tickets can be found on www.fishtowncardshow.com.
