No More Dining in The Burbs- Gov. Tom Wolf Bans Indoor Dining, Gyms, School Sports & Casinos!
Ever since Philly put restrictions on indoor dining, many foodies flocked to the burbs to enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere at restaurants not under the restrictions. Now, fresh off of his positive COVID test, the governor has put a halt to all indoor dining state-wide. In addition Gov. Tom Wolf has banned gyms, school sports, casinos and extra curricular activities such as movies, bowling and concert venues.
“The problem we’re all facing is that this virus continues to rage in Pennsylvania, and over the past several weeks it’s become clear we need to take further mitigation actions to protect Pennsylvanians and stop the spread of COVID-19. We all hoped it wouldn’t come to this, and that’s the point. The current state of the surge in Pennsylvania will not allow us to wait. We need to slow the spread right now in order to save lives. If we don’t, we’re going to be in big trouble.” Gov. Wolf stated.
Indoor gatherings are now restricted to 10 and outdoor gatherings are limited to 50 people. Commercial spaces such as retails can operate at 50% capacity. These restrictions will go into effect December 12th and will last until January 4th.
