South Philly is the Italian territory here in Philly, but, today we celebrate Mexican dishes. It is gearing up to be a great day outside today, so if you’re in the mood to down your margaritas outdoors you might want to head to this spot.
Sancho Pistola’s

Jose Pistola’s made a splash when it opened last year and it hit the scene. Located in the hip area between Northern Liberties and Fishtown. Sancho’s whips up the best spicy margaritas. So if you’re looking for a a little more than your traditional taco and burritos to soak up all that alcohol Sancho’s has you covered.

This is a Mexican spot dedicated to Philly locals. You won’t catch tourists taking up valuable real estate at this bar. No nonsense, no frills, this bar is influenced by the Mexican food trucks of California. Serving up classic tacos and serving up great specialty cocktails this place offers a great venue to celebrate with friends. Fair warning this place is cash so come cash in hand.

For our East Falls & Manayunk residents or people that want to try something new, Johnny Mañana’s is a sure fire Cinco de Mayo hang out. This popular place with indoor and outdoor seating will no doubt be rocking on today. Johnny Mañana’s serves up popular items such as fish tacos and are fan favorites since their taco dishes serve 4 rather than the traditional 3 tacos most of us are accustomed to. So eat hardy and drink up!

Our favorite Northern Liberties taco spot, Dos Segundos serves up cool meat options such as goat and when available, shark tacos. Aside from the awesome food the drinks here are just as great. We’d suggest the jalapeno margarita.
