Hip-Hop In The Park Returns to Eakins Oval for Its 6th Year With DJ Aktive, Live Graffiti, a House Music Hour & More
The 6th Annual Hip-Hop In The Park Festival (HHITP), founded by Philly artist, muralist, and community leader TAMEARTZ, returns on Saturday, August 8, from 12 PM to 9 PM at Eakins Oval. Admission is free with RSVP.
Presented by SNIPES and supported by No Phly Zone, Human Robot, BOTLD, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Philadelphia Flyers, and Red Bull, the festival brings together music, art, dance, food, and community programming for attendees of all ages.
“Hip-Hop In The Park is more than a festival to me — it’s a celebration of our culture, our city, and our community,” says TAMEARTZ. “Every year we bring together the OGs along with seasoned artists, emerging artists, families, and fans to honor Hip-Hop’s legacy while creating opportunities for the next generation.”
This year’s festival is headlined by Philadelphia’s own DJ AKTIVE — Janet Jackson’s tour DJ and one of the country’s most internationally recognized DJs, known for touring alongside some of music’s biggest names. A fitting choice to anchor a festival rooted in celebrating Philadelphia’s deep DJ legacy.

Craig G (Juice Crew Legend) | Mr. Eon (of the Legendary High & Mighty) | Outerspace (Army of the Pharaohs) | Goody Gunz | Truck North (from the Legendary Roots Crew) | KXNG Charisma & Elemxnt | plus additional surprise performances throughout the day

Hip-Hop In The Park has always celebrated all elements of the culture — and 2026 is no different. Live graffiti murals will be painted throughout the festival by artists from Philadelphia, New York, Florida, and beyond, transforming Eakins Oval into a vibrant outdoor gallery. One Take Studios, traveling from Virginia, will present a special dance performance showcasing the next generation of movement and choreography rooted in Hip-Hop culture.
Additional festival highlights include breaking and street dance exhibitions, a Basketball 3-Point Contest by No Phly Zone, a vendor marketplace, food trucks, a Beer & Liquor Garden hosted by Human Robot and BOTLD, community organizations, family-friendly activities, and giveaways throughout the day.
