Queen & Rook Is Hosting a Fantasy Faire Block Party With 40+ Vendors, Food, Sword Fighting, and More
Queen & Rook’s Fantasy Faire Block Party will return on Saturday, September 26, from noon to 8 p.m., transforming the 100 block of South Street between S. 2nd and Front Streets into a Renaissance Faire and fantasy-themed festival. The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and encourages costumes.
More than 40 fantasy and craft vendors will line the street, offering items including chainmail, tarot readings, oddities, crochet dragons, interactive crystal activities, and other handmade arts and crafts.
A main stage located across from Queen & Rook, at the intersection of South Street and Hancock Street, will feature performances including sword fighting and fire performers throughout the day.
Festival food offerings will include pickles on a stick and soft pretzel swords, along with beer, draft mead and potion shots.
Queen & Rook is taking reservations through Resy for indoor dining during the festival, where the restaurant will serve wood-fired pizzas alongside a witch-themed fall cocktail menu. After the festival, guests are invited inside to the bar or downstairs to the arcade to continue the evening at what is described as Philadelphia’s No. 1 game cafe.
