Who Stole the Tasmanian Tiger? Philadelphia Zoo’s ‘Zoo Done It?’ Returns With a 1920s After-Hours Experience
Calling all gumshoes, the third annual “Zoo Done It?”, presented in collaboration with Without a Cue Productions, returns on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM — and this year’s mystery is set in one of history’s most glamorous eras.
The premise: it’s 1926. A world-famous Tasmanian tiger has arrived from the London Zoo for a lavish grand unveiling celebration. But just as the curtain is set to rise, the tiger vanishes without a trace. Guests become detectives in this live-action scavenger hunt, tracking down suspicious characters, uncovering clues, and interrogating live actors who may — or may not — be involved in the daring heist. As alliances shift and secrets emerge, it’s up to you to piece together the mystery before the rare creature disappears forever. Tickets are available at philadelphiazoo.org.
New for 2026, the event is now open to guests 16 and older, expanding the experience to older children and families. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best 1920s attire — comfortable shoes strongly recommended.
“We are always looking for unique ways to connect people with Philadelphia Zoo, and this event is a perfect way to experience the Zoo with a twist,” said Vice President of Marketing and Communications Patrick McMaster. “We can’t wait to see who’s going to solve the mystery and take home the grand prize.”
