Zoo After Dark, Anyone? The Philadelphia Zoo Is Hosting an After Hours Experience This Weekend

On Saturday, June 20, the Zoo invites families and friends to experience a special After Hours event from 4 PM to 8 PM, held in celebration of the Philly Fair 250. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back summer evening or something genuinely new to see, this one delivers.

The headline attraction? The brand-new Carey Bear Country — a state-of-the-art habitat for Andean and sloth bears that’s making its debut this season. It’s the kind of exhibit that reminds you why the Zoo never gets old.

Beyond the bears, guests can ride the Philly Zoo Pherris Wheel — the tallest ferris wheel in Philadelphia — catch live music on Impala Lawn, and enjoy all the classic Zoo attractions as the summer sun winds down.

A few things to keep in mind: last entry is at 7 PM, so don’t cut it too close. Members get in free for everyone covered under their membership benefits, with additional guest tickets available at $10 per person. Just make sure to log into your account at checkout and bring your membership card and photo ID at the gate.

Tickets and details are available at philadelphiazoo.org.
