With New Menu, Stir to Reopen at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the First Time Since March 2020
Constellation Culinary Group, along with the Philadelphia Museum of Art, is pleased to announce the reopening of Stir, the elevated restaurant concept designed by architect Frank Gehry and helmed by Executive Chef Mark Tropea. As part of the exciting reopening, Stir will also be debuting a newly imagined menu that features ingredients from farms around the Greater Philadelphia region. Stir reopens on September 18th for walk-ins only. Reservations via Open Table will be available beginning September 23, 2021.
Stir will once again offer guests a rich and varied dining experience with an emphasis on seasonality and local sourcing. The restaurant serves as a culinary destination for museumgoers seeking not only to enjoy a fine meal in a beautiful contemporary setting, but also to extend their visit and enhance their experience of the museum’s collection and programs.
With seating for 76 people, Stir conveys a warm, intimate, and inviting ambiance. “Whether stopping in for brunch or lunch, we are excited to once again welcome guests to enjoy our locally-sourced dishes as part of a rounded museum experience,” said Executive Chef Mark Tropea. “I’m looking forward to showcasing the best of our region’s ingredients to the global audience that the museum attracts every day.”
Features of the new Stir menu include dishes like a Fig and Serrano Ham Toast, Herb Roasted Jail Island Salmon, and an artisan Quiche made with leeks, bacon, gruyère, and local mixed greens. Stir menu staples that remain include Parsnip and Pear Soup, the crowd-favorite PMA Dry Aged Farm Stand Burger made with Lancaster Cheddar, and the Stir Chopped Salad.
Stir’s beverage menu features a variety of signature mixed drinks, wines by the bottle and glass, and a refreshing selection of local beers.
Stir will be open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., and will offer brunch on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Reservations can be made beginning September 23, 2021, by calling 215-684-7990 or booking on Open Table.
