The Roxborough Spring Fest is Teaming Up With The Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show For a Giant Day On Ridge Avenue

Roxborough Development Corporation and Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club team up to present a giant day on Ridge Avenue as two of the biggest spring traditions join forces for the first time.

The 23nd Annual Roxborough Spring Fest and the 23rd Annual Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show will roll into Roxborough on Saturday, May 10th, from Green Lane to Hermitage Street from 11:00am to 6:00pm, featuring live music across three staging areas, over 80 local artisans, and plenty of food from award-winning food trucks and Ridge Avenues eateries. Meanwhile, the 23rd Annual Rockin’ The Ridge Car Show will showcase a stunning collection of classic cars in front of Gorgas Park from Hermitage Street to Fountain Street from 11:00am to 3:00pm, bringing together car enthusiasts and festival goers alike.

The 23rd Annual Roxborough Spring Fest continues to celebrate community, art, and music, now with even more opportunities for engagement. Look for a new second stage at Leverington Avenue, programmed by RoxYunk Porch Fest, will highlight talented local musicians. On the Main Stage, the West Philadelphia Orchestra will open with a 2nd line starting at 11:00am at Hermitage to the Main Stage. Local community groups, Pretzel Theater Company, Action Karate and Jeanette’s School of Dance will entertain with selections from their works.  In addition Pretty Little Life, The Providers and the Mitchelle Street Philbillies will set the vibe for the day.

Artisans will be selling and demonstrating their craft throughout the event, offering unique, interactive experiences—customizable flower crowns to celebrate spring, pottery demonstrations from local potter Edna Rambo, and Meet the Artist at the Art on the Ride tent.

The Roxborough Pocket Park will continue to be the dedicated Kid’s Zone and family-friendly activities, featuring Flyleaf the Book Fairy! This event is perfect for attendees of all ages. Entertainment Highlights:

* New: This year’s Spring Fest is partnering with the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts to bring entertainment and awareness of this great organization.
* Live art demos from local artisans
* A dedicated Kid’s Zone with family-friendly activities and entertainment
* New: Art on the Ridge Consignment Tent featuring the work of local artist who are members of the RDC Art on the Ridge program
* Student Art Show – This year’s theme for the student art show is “Art in Motion.” The show is open to local schools and school-age residents, divided into four age categories. A panel of judges consisting of local residents and artists will select winners from each group.

Food/Drink & Shopping Highlights:

* Local Food Establishments and 12 Local Food Trucks serving outside
* Beverages from New Ridge Brewing Company and Top Dog winery
* A maker’s market featuring local artisans/crafters, non-profit organizations and sponsors

CAR SHOW

The Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club is proud to present the 23rd Annual Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show, a beloved neighborhood tradition that brings vintage style, community spirit, and chrome classics to Ridge Avenue!

This year’s event will feature over 70 stunning classic and custom cars, with 114 prizes awarded to standout vehicles. Visitors can enjoy music by a live DJ spinning favorites all day, shop local vendors, and take their chance at winning big with a 50/50 raffle and auctions.

“The Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show is one of our community’s most beloved events,” said John Boyce, President of Friends of Gorgas Park. “It brings together car enthusiasts, families, and neighbors for a fun, high-energy day on the Avenue, while showcasing Gorgas Park as the perfect backdrop for an amazing community celebration.”

“We’re proud to bring back the 23rd annual Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show—it’s a highlight of the year for the Ridge Runners and a great way to share our passion for classic cars with the community,” said Chris Lounsbery, President of the Ridge Runners Car Club. “Every year, the turnout gets better, and the energy on Ridge Avenue is incredible. It’s more than a car show—it’s a Roxborough tradition.”
