The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink at Dilworth Park is Reopening This November

Ice skating season is back. The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin will officially reopen at Dilworth Park on Friday November 10th and run through February 25th.  The grand reopening will include a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30, a  pop-up snow shower, and a performance with skaters from the Laura Sims Skate House in West Philadelphia. The Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin will  also offer festive food and drink items to commemorate the celebration.

Guests with pre-purchased passes must check in at the ticket window upon arrival. In-person sales, based on availability, will also be offered. Lockers can be reserved ahead of time and locks will be sold onsite. The Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin will also be available for skaters looking to relax between skating sessions and shopping trips, offering a full menu of seasonal dishes.

At the bar, adults 21 and older will find cocktails made with Maker’s Mark® Bourbon and Haku® Vodka, plus local and craft beers, including Kona Big Wave and Michelob Ultra. Outside on the TD Bank Terrace, toasty fire pits are available to enjoy at no charge.

“Each year we reopen is a reminder of just how important this tradition is to our community as well as our late founder, Dr. Richard H. Rothman,” said Alexander R. Vaccaro, MD, PhD, MBA, President of Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman, and Professor of Neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals. “We’re thrilled to continue to support this community initiative and look forward to another exciting season here at the Rothman Rink and Cabin.”

The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market will also open for the season on Friday, November 10. The open-air marketplace will feature more than 40 local vendors from the Philadelphia region with a diverse and unique selection of products. Dilworth Park visitors can expect everything from home goods and jewelry to skin care, artwork and artisan treats. The full list of vendors can be found at dilworthpark.org.
